Progressive Door Unlock

Hi.

So I have a 1992 Camry. When you unlock the car with the key, the doors progressively unlock. i.e. Turn the key once and the drivers door unlocks, turn it a second time and the rest of the doors unlock.

I installed a Hornet 554T alarm on Tuesday and everything works great. However I would like to have the doors progressively unlock. Not a BIG deal, but if it can be done I would like to.

Now, I have the DEI wire listing for my car and it lists the lock/unlock wires for my car. Right now I have the alarm hooked up to these wires and all doors unlock when I disarm the system.

There is a second lock output on my alarm, and I'm wondering how I should wire up the Camry for this feature.

I'm going to go play around with a multi meter later, but I was hoping that someone here had done this before.

Thanks,

Cam

Did you already read through the Doc. 1041 we got from Camry9294? It seemed to have some pertinant information on pages 20 and 21. If only i had some time, I'd dig into it further.

Hey guys, It doesn't look that hard as far as prewiring the prog. lock set up. I think finding the proper wire in the drivers door is the key. Maybe if you probe around the key cylinder you might find it.

Hey Dirtbikez... Yeah, I posted before I got 1041...

Plus, I was hoping that someone had done this before.

Anyway, I'll leave them as is for now, and later this summer I'll attack the progressive part.

Thanks again.

Are you sure that it has 2 sets of lock outputs?

Your probably confused about the + (positive) and - (negative) lock / unlock triggers.

Toyota's use a negative trigger for the door lock / unlock.

Ice5 is right. The h2/3 Violet/black 200ma(-) wire, which happens to be the channel 4 output can be programmed to pulse when the remote is pressed again within 15 seconds after the first unlock. This allows you to have the progressive door lock feature.

This is a question. The progressive unlock on my 92 Camry does not work. I check all the wires and they are OK. What could be the cause how to fix it. Thanks.
