Wheel Purchase Question- Please Help

Hi,
I'm Seriously looking at a set of 17 X 8 rims with a 37mm Offset. They are the correct lug pattern. They come with Tires which are 225/45 R 17. I plan on lowering the car with the Tokico/Eibach setup shortly.

Will they fit?

Thanks in Advance for the help!

Aviv

most people run 45, and you can run 50 if you want - I personally would, cuz it'll fill up your wheel well more....but 55 would probably screw your speedo and stuff....

and if you want, I think you can go even beyond 225...I'd personally go for almost the widest possible tires for your rims as long as it won't hurt the performance....

Those will fit fine, but I personally would get 18's, but even with your drop you'll fit fine. I have 18's rapped in 225/40/18 with 1.6'' drop and it's fine. Personally I would go with a lower profile then the 55, get 225/45/17 or something

Yeah. I will lower the profile later. What is your rim width though?
7.5?
I don't think it will have problems without the drop. I'm going to test it today.

yeah I have 18 X 7.5, was going to geth 18 X 8, and then get 235/40/18 tires, but that is just too much for the amount of power the solara has. Even if I was lucky and got the super charger, just no need for that wide other then show. I am happy with the 225/40/18, what kinda of tires are you getting ?

225/55 17. Yeah...I know thats alot of Profile, but you need that in Chicago. Maybe if they fit now, I will lower the car at a later date, like when I get new tires.
