tie rod you mean sway/end link? did you tighten it with an allen key in the middle while turning the bolt?

and did you get the bushings with the clamps?

what gen camry do you have?

Next to the bushing and the clamp that holds the bar to the underside of the car, there should be another clamp with rubber that prevents side to side movement of the bar.

Is that a Toyota original or aftermarket bar, Whiteline, TRD, or other?

It should have came with a rubber piece to stop side to side movement. My Toyota stock and my Whiteline bar came with them. But you cannot put the stock one on the Whiteline bar I don't think.

Since you dn't have them: you can get some rubber hose that has a similar ID as the OD of bar and two hose clamps that will fit on there. Put a piece of hose wide enough for the hose clamp on the bar and then use the hose clamp to hold the rubber on. Don't grease these parts.

You don't have to tighten down the hose clamp very hard though, just enough to prevent movement.

Yeah, my whiteline has that problem -- didn't come with the stop. Don't try to fix the problem with tightening the bushing bolts, you want the bar to actually rotate.

You could do the hose trick above, or you could get beefy and mark where the stops should be, take off the bar, then weld a stop onto the bar.

I was going to do that, then my sway fixed itself. If it starts clunking again, I'm going to take the welding route.
