Does my 02 XLE hae it? - -Seat belt warning chime

Does my 02 XLE have it? - -Seat belt warning chime

I saw a post here about hot to disable / enable it by holding the trip meter while fastening the belt....

But did not seem to do anything in my carmy ... So is this also not standard an 02 XLE (despite being top of the line..)

Also with regard to the:

- Chirping of the factory alarm, is there a way to change the tones?

- with regard to the trip compuer that shows like Avg MPH etc, is that programmable?

The owners manual is a total waste says nothing.!

your car should have the seatbelt warning chime... and the reason what you tried didn't do anything, is because there's a procedure to it:
1. turn ignition to ON (do not start, or touch brakes), switch odometer to "ODO" not "TRIP A" or "TRIP B". turn igntion back off.

2. turn ignition to ON (again, do not start or touch brakes), HOLD odometer button for at least 10 sec (recommended 12 sec).

3. while STILL HOLDING odometer button, fasten drivers side seat belt. odometer LCD should now read -boff or -bon upon fastening of seat belt.

4. you may release the odometer button and press it again to achieve desire settings. obviously -boff = belt chime off, and -bon = belt chime on.

5. once you have the desired setting, just let it sit for a while... it will go back to the regular odometer setting.

6. you can now turn ignition back to off.

Well I tried the same steps and the On / off indicator did not show up. I guess I don' thave it.

the owners manual says that the buzzer will stop after 64 to 8 sec.

I had though that if I did not wear the seat belt and still drove it, I'll get the warning buzzer again as a reminder... when I cross a certain speed
Portion from the owners manual:

This light and buzzer remind you to
buckle up the driver’s seat belt.
Once the ignition key is turned to “ON”,
the reminder light flashes and buzzer
sounds if the driver’s seat belt is not fastened.
Unless the driver fastens the belt,
the light keeps flashing and the buzzer
stops after about 4 to 8 seconds.

Can anyone else with an 02 Camry XLE confirm that the seat belt reminder buzzer/chime does not repeat when you start driving ignoring the seat belt
