I thought this has been discussed before, but a search for "pod" didn't reveal too much.
I need to add another gauge to my current setup (2 gauge pod for an Accord molded into my stock pillar trim). A search for 3-gauge pods showed they are limited. So I have two options:
1. Get the 3/4 pod from Lotek for the 90-93 Celica and mold it in again. If it's a reasonably close fit, that's fine.
2. Buy (2) 2-gauge pods for the Accord and cut one in half and mold the 2 pieces onto the trim to make a 3-gauge pod.
Does anyone know how close the 96 Camry pillar trim is to the 90-93 pillar trim? I have a spare trim piece...I just need to find an early Celica to compare it to.

I believe CamryPunk has it on his car and his fits ok.
You mean to add to the current 2-gauge setup? If so, I am replacing the current trim. This b/c the first time I did it, I screwed up and cut off the retaining clips by mistake. So I am starting fresh with a new trim piece.

Hmm, if your redoing everything then you can also do maybe 3 greddy pods, or like you said, you can grab 2 accord pods and cut one in half which I think is a good idea since you're gonna be re-molding everything anyways, Id go with that, i'll be clean, plus probably cheaper than $$$ Greddy pods.
But then I liked the idea of the 90-93 Celica Lotek 3-gauge pod too. It was only $40ish and only covers 3/4 of the trim, so the length would be about right. I am trying to find out if the trim shape is similar enough to the Camry's.
Anyone with a early 90's Celica out there that could the trims????
Ever consider using a pillar pod from a mustang? SilverStreak had some success with a dual gauge pod. He mentioned it's not a perfect fit, but it'd be a good candidate for some bondo.
OK...thanks for the idea. I looked up the one he used. It was for the 78-93 Mustang. I went onto Autometer's site and found they had a 3-gauge unit for the same year Mustang. I just ordered it from Jegs. Whatever is excess I will cut off and mold the rest in with the fiberglass.
Thanks for the replies and tips guys!
Steve
Edit: BTW, it was Autometer part number 12101. $53 at Jegs.
