Need help - 93 Camry Flashers don't Flash

hello, i'm recently widowed and clueless about what's under the hood. the flashers don't flash - when activated they just stay lit. The guys my husband used to use went out of business. i do recall my husband saying that his guy said that he needed to change the relay.

a relative who used to work at a car stereo and alarm installations place has offered to replace it for me - but he couldn't find it where he looked under the hood.

i tried looking for a manual online but didn't find one... i came across this site and am hoping someone can help me to tell him where to find it so he can change it.

I have been flashing the flashers manually... and can deal with it myself but my son wants to use it to take his road test so i would really appreciate it.

By way of introduction...
Looking back in photo albums there are so many memories frozen in time with our Toyotas. Our first car was a used 1981 toyota tercel - 2 door - in blue. i remember going with him and his parents to buy it waaay back in 1983. We had some great times in that car. Our next toyota was the 93 Camry LE - again in blue. Its got over 188K miles and its like a member of the family.

and by the way otherwise: i see that you guys are getting together at Dave & Busters... thats like 15 minutes from me. small world(wide web) huh?

It seems the emergency flasher is the same as the turn signal flasher. Look in the area of the left drivers side kick panel.

^ I was just going to say that. I'm not 100% sure, but I think it is there. It should be a square piece.

i would really appreciate a recommendation.

i'm in pembroke pines... around me is: davie, hollywood, cooper city, mirimar... dania beach...

Hey, can it wait a few weeks? We had a big Toyota meet last week, and another is in the works for January. Also, there will likely be another in Ft. Lauderdale vacinity sometime in Dec, and many people at the meet would likely be more then willing to take a look at your car. Just keep an eye in the meet section of the site.

isn't the meet a kind of a 'guy' scene? not that there's anything wrong with that... but since i'm so recently widowed i'm not comfortable in these types of social situations yet... and i'd feel akward going there looking for someone to fix my car for me!

... And since the brake light is on i'd really like to get it in to a mechanic asap. i'm really more concerned with that than the flashers at this point.

I just hate the idea of driving around looking for a random service station... not knowing if they'll be fair. Thats why I was asking if anyone had someone they could recommend.

thanks again guys

Tell ya what, when I have the meet in mid Jan, come, and I'll personally help with what you need. But for a Mechanic, I'll send this thread to my friend and see if he has a recomendation for you. He's a hardcore Camry guy in Pembroke Pines.
