Question Question on dash for the radio?

Okay, here is the problem. The guy who had my camry before me cut the hell out of the dash so he could fit a tv in there. He cut the piece between the radio and the ashtray and took the ashtray out too. Now there is a big ass hole in my dash and it looks like shit. My question is, "Does anyone have any good ideas of what I could do for my dash?" I was thinking about molding a fiberglass dash piece, but wasn't sure yet. ANY IDEAS? Thanks

probably could, but unless you have lost of experience with fibreglass, I wouldn't recommend it, cuz it'll probably look like ass....best bet would be to go to a junk yard and see if you can rip up a whole new dash, or at least the area that you need and then mold it into your dash.....

just out of curiosity tho, did you take the tv with him, or did you take it out? and why the hell'd you buy the car if you knew there'd be a big hole? good price?

thanks, i just bought a fiberglass kit tonight, so i think i might just make a dash piece tonight or tomorrow. Oh, yes he did take the tv's out before he sold me the car, but he had made a pice of shit dash piece and painted it. I realized it could look way better so i took the piece off. He had made it with plastic and wood but it was painted all black so at first it looked alright until paint started chipping. I did get ot for a cheap price though, because he had to have $ 2500 by the following friday or he was gonna get arrested for check fraud. I haven't taken any pictures yet of it but I will maybe tomorrow if my buddie brings his digital camera. If the fiberglass dash piece comes out good, then i'll post some pics of it and the steps I took to make it.
