I have a V6 Solara. I am planning to install a Nitrous Oxide kit from NOS. Do any of you have any advice or tips about Nitrous Oxide, or do any of you have experience with Nitrous Oxide and the 1MZ-FE (v6 camrygen4/solara)? Do you know anyone I could talk to about Nitrous and our engines?

If you go with a Wet system you will have problems with the returnless fuel system other then that I say a 50 to 75 shot would be the max I would ever go.If you got questions I can help I had a wet setup on my Intergra and dry fogger system on my Camry that I never used.

I would recommend not using NOS under 3000 RPMs.

Why's that? What will happen to the engine?

A good NOS kit will only open at WOT and usualy on a reving engine 3000rpm is not WOT.BTW WOT is Wide Open Throttle wich means when you flooring it reving up to max RPM.

I would have to say don't use too big of shot, not over 50 or so. And beef up your internals

Correct me if I'm wrong. But most are recommend to be over 3000 RPM's just so that there is enough engine suctions to bring in the mixture. Unless you have a supercharger in there you mite be able to engage it at lower RPMs do to its higher airflow in the engine.

Be careful. Having the Nitrous engange at WOT is the best bet. Anything over 75shot, beef up the internals. Get a gauge for your bottle.

If it's a safety issue.... why not a kit from ZEX? Those have become a lot more popular these days.

I was thinking of getting a venom nitrous kit. It engauges at WOT and has a computer module that senses if the mixture is to rich or lean. If it is the computer shuts the nos off. I think this would be a little safer than your basic system.

Nitrous has a flat torque curve.

The problem with shooting nitrous at low rpms is cylinder pressure. Theres more cylinder pressure at low rpms then there is at high rpms.

You build up to much pressure somethings gonna go.

Just becareful otherwise you might end up with a piston up your a**, a rod in your mouth, and valves hanging out your nostrils.
