Gen5 noise when accelerating

Does anyone know what is causing my 03 Camry I4 to make a noise while it accelerates? It makes a whine kinda like a high pitched leaf-blower. It doesn't do it all the time. It seems to be doing it when its hot outside(90+) and/or under hard acceleration. If i go up a hill and step on the gas it will do it as well. At first I thought it was caused by the installation of the stereo in the car, but I disconnected the cable to the amp and it still makes the noise. I'd kinda like to have an idea of the problem before I take it into the dealer. I had to take it in 3 times last time for a simple oil leak before they figured out it was the oil pan. They said it was due to a bad oil change which got oil on the oil pan.

Also the green light on the temp knob was flashing and the A/C wasn't working. Any ideas on this as well? I disconnected the battery and let the computer reset and it went away since it was hot last week and I couldnt get the car into the dealer.

sounds like it could be your accessory belt - possibly loose - making noise + your a/c not working

and the dealership was bs'ing you....oil on the pan wouldn't make it leak unless they dropped the pan for a simple oil change

^I'm getting the same sound, and I'm almost sure its the accessory belt. But I can't figure out for the life of me how to tighten that bastard...

My only other guess is the throttle body... because it only makes the sound at certain RPMs... but the problem is that it didn't always do it, so I doubt its the TB.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

^ you tighten the belt by adjusting the alternator height/angle

loosen the pivot bolt on the alternator, then the screw that keeps the adjusting bolt from moving, and then tighten/loosen the adjusting bolt to make it go up and down
