new car???

i went to toyota on tues. and was just looking around when i noticed that they were building a new room for the Toyota Scion display. went in and found out they will be hittin Cali in june. got some info and a website, www.scion.com and looks like my camry will no longer be mine. im looking at getting the Scion XB as soon as the first ones start being shipped out. will be sitting in one next week when the display model shows up. very excited about the new project!!

What sucks is they both (xA and xB) have the same 1.5 I4 engine and that is it, no V6's.

Both 5spd standard, 4spd auto optional and extra.

I had already sat in one at a speiality SEMA show for aftermarket manufatuers and the rest of the ar industry. The feel is pretty cool, I like the fact that you an match almost everything color wise from remote alarm to steering wheel inset to the Pioneer in dash cd changer with satellite tuner.

also you get an optional CAI and front strut brace. They will also have plug in play interior neons optional, only red or blue for the front.

You should see what, Greddy, Motegi Racing and Pioneer did with the ones they was given by Scion/Toyota. All I can say is sweet

They both ride on 15's

Whats annoying is the location of the guage cluster in on top in the middle of the dash.

all i have to say is.. if toyota would have put a beefier powerplant in them both standard.. and kept prices the same/low.. they would sell alot more to young people.... becuase hey... they basically have the power of an echo with added weight.

scion XB

you are absolutely right about the power issue. The brochure lists the hp at 108 with the cai. so power was definitely not an option in my case. ive seen the greddy scion. it had momo seats, exhaust, the supercharger and i think this one had nos. the polk audio was obviously filled with stereo comp. equipment. all of the scion shown had a big brake kit as well. i think the scion can be popular in the aftermarket product category if they see that the scion is popular with the younger tuner generation. i was thinking of going the sponsor route because it is so new and this area would be new for me to learn about. i havent even sit in it myself so my decision may change. thanks for the info tho.
