4th Generation raditor hose concern

hey guys, i have a slight concern w/ my gen 4. I opened up the hood this morning just to do a little checkup and everything looked fine up until i was ready to close the hood when i see the upper radiator hose sagged in. it looked like the sides caved in (it normally looks like a snake) and i figured, oh, i changed the radiator last month and didn't change the hose so whatever ill go to the parts store today and pick one up. later that evening i got the new hose, installed it, took the cam for a test run and the temp was fine for the rest of the day. a few hours later i decide to take a look @ the hose to see how it looks and damn! the brand new hose looks like it is caved in also. i get a flashlight, turn the car on for a while and see no leaks. i guess it works fine but my question to the yota veterans, is this right or what?

it's a brand new cap. sry i can't take a pic, my phone is off. the old one was completely caved in and now the brand new one is also caved in. the car runs fine tho (knock on wood) and i do drive it hard most of the time. the hose expands to its normal diameter after a few mins of driving. ill keep you guys posted. thanks

Sorry, but brand new cap don't mean too much. If you do not have a blockage in the hose between the coolant overflow reservoir and the radiator cap, I'd replace the radiator cap to see if this fixes the problem.

Good luck!

alright i will. thanks for the replies>>>>>>>>>>>
so, i'm currently @ school and i parked her up, left her on, opened up the hood and the hose looks normal. on the way i was driving kinda peppy so i figured if anything is wrong w/ it my temp gauge would rise. it hasn't and i'm knocking on wood that it'll be ok. o... i got another cap from my brother's galant which is out of commission right now. it's been sitting out in front of the house for about a year or so so the cap should be as good as new. (before it went to the shop he got a new cap)
