Anybody with the AEM EMS?

I was looking at the AEM EMS and they have a plug and play for the MR2 3SGTE. From what I understand the 3SGTE EMS plugs right into the stock MR2 wiring harness in place of the stock ECU. This got me to thinking, if someone did a 3SGTE top end swap (head, intake, injectors, etc.) onto the 5sfe couldn't the AEM EMS for the 3SGTE be used to run it and does the MR2 and Camry have the same plug connectors at the stock ECU? Just wondering what AEM EMS to use and if the 3SGTE EMS would be a better choice for a hybrid motor using 3SGTE top end? This would be in a camry so I know I will have to splice wires. I'm just trying to figure out if I can splice in only the 3SGTE engine bay wires to the Camry main wire harness and plug the Camry end of the harness into the AEM EMS or would both ends of the harness have to be 3SGTE or maybe just swap the whole 3SGTE harness in. Please let me know if I am way off the mark on this. I basically want an EMS that will run the hybrid and work in the camry.

IMO, it is much better to swap the entire harness to a 3S-GTE one... It is very difficult to find detailed info on both ECU's pinouts for all year ranges... So to prevent any potential huge wiring hack, it is much simpler to either swap the entire harness or solder the 3S-GTE harness at the ECU side.

As for compatibility, also make sure that the 3S-GTE block doesn't have any timing/crank sensors that the AEM needs to function; because I am not 100% sure on the AEM EMS for the 3S-GTE, just make sure that all the sensors are there so the system can remain plug and play.
