right now im 15 and i dont know much at all about cars and stuff, so im trying to suck up as much info as i can from you guys. my parents are going to give me our 94 camry v6 le, and i want to tune it up, which i think i would learn a hell of a lot from.
what are my options, and if you are really feeling nice today please a little explaination?
if you guys also have any good sites that are good source for just general car info, i'd be greatful
i think to start out basic i want to just change my tires into better ones... suggestions and any knowledge you guys can throw at me?
Congrats on inheiriting a Camry. Try the search function. It has a lot to offer and welcome to the Camry community.

thanks guys. if you want to read a little bit about my situtation you can read this thread i have with overclockers forums (im a comp nerd, trying to learn about cars now)
then do you guys have alternate suggestions from what they said?
and i really dont want to change the look of the car..... i really dont like people who trick out their car with body kits and big ass noisy mufflers when they dont do shit to their engine..... i only want to make my car faster and more fun to drive, i could care less how much of a race car it looks like
yeah my first plan is to buy the tail wings from a boeing 747 and attaching that to the back of the trunk. im also going to get the exhaust tip from the their 747's engine, it's 8 feet in diameter, can you say high flow? only downside to nice exhaust tip is that i cant lower my ride height so that the rest of my car drags on the ground
Someone should really put one of those tail wings on.
yeah most of em have no idea what theyre talking about, not that i do, but i have learned a lot since i've started coming here
Hey cool, you live in MA, maybe you can goto the Curry Audio sound competition that a bunch of us are going to. Check it out in the Meetings section.

sorry i didn't really mean that offensively. mabye i should rephrase. i dont like how some people (a lot of them at my school) make their cars look nice and fast and make them sound fast... but dont actually do any work on the engine. if you do tune your engine and all that and do body work on your car, then i totally respect you, i just dont like the kids at my school who attach huge mufflers to make a gigantic revving sound out of their stock-engine civic.
I'm not a fan of body kits or wings either but at least alex's car is a good color.
Oh yeah, none of us really tune our engines, well not for the most part. Tuning has to do with adjusting gear ratios and other things like that. We around here do modifying, like most people.
