Which should i get...front sway bar, rear sway bar, or both???
Hi
I recently installed tokico struts and eibach springs, which improved handling greatly. I've also added a front strut tower bar. Now the last part of the suspension upgrade is the front and rear sway bars. if i could only get one, which one should i get? ANd what are the advantages to each? For example, if i only buy the front sway bar, would the rear of my car feel unbalanced? or would a rear sway bar by itself be enough to balance out my car?
if people recommend buying both, then i will do so in the future...but because money is alittle tight, i would rather buy one for now. any help would be great! I was planning on getting them from ctmotorsport.com. the front and rear are $109 each i think.
Most ppl would tend to suggest getting only the rear bar. Beefing up the front bar will only induce understeer, which the car already has a tendency to do. Not only that, the stock front bar is adequate and does the job.
I've got both front and rear bars, as well as a strut brace and I feel balanced. Mind you, I don't really push the car that hard around corners to begin with.
thanks phi for the post. i might go ahead and buy the rear sway bar. after my new springs/shocks and front strut bar...the front of my car feels a little "heavy" and the rear feels more unbalanced. so hopefully a rear sway bar will help alot. did you get the whitelines sway bar? or did you get the TRD sway bars?
or you could just get both (adjustables) and see if you can dial out the understeer and see if you can get more of a neutral feeling! can you even fine tune sways to do that on your cars guys? that would be the best bet neutral handling! WEEEEE

To a point you can, but you have to be able to get adjustable sway bars. We only have the TRD bar avalable to us, so you cant really dial in your handling to much. Oh well, i love my whilteline stuff

You should already have one in the front so just add a rear. If you do add the rear and you find that you are getting too much oversteer you can install stiffer rubber grommets in the front and that will tighten the feel a bit.
