you can't

but apparently the dealership should have an ecu flash that can change it (told to me by a toyota mech friend)....just keep on complaining about it to them until they do something about it

and yeah...it's really annoying...and sometimes dangerous on the gen5

Cool

You are a human. You have the capability to learn to hit the gas the appropriate amount of time before wanting the throttle to respond. Please make use of that as there is no fix for an electronic throttle. No manufacture does a good job of it. It will take years for just the first OEM to pin it down well.
Thank you for continuing our races ability of adapting yourself to your enviornment!

To my knowledge thereis no flash for the v6's that concern throttle responce. Those flashes were purely for transmission logic.
The i4's have the throttle responce flash.

there maybe a transmission update for you which may help.

my highlander got one and it responds a little faster but its not as smooth.

having only driven two cars with the drive by wire system i have to say that the SAAB 9-3 i drove responded a heck of a lot faster than the HL.
but im not comparing the right things i guess.
