I have a 01, and a 02 camry. I had toyota reprogram a remote from my 02 for my 01. The doors work but the trunk does not. It beeps when you hold down the trunk release button, but the trunk does not open.

Uh. Thanks for telling us.

I suppose you're asking why it doesn't work and/or how to make it work. Perhaps it wasn't a feature for the 01?

I don't know if it does or not, it must not. It does beeb, when the trunk button is pressed. The beep is coming from a beeper/relay??? behind the front passenger turn signal. You have to take the turn signal light completely out to see the beeper/relay???.

Does your 01' have a trunk release on the remote? If not than there are no components on the car to make the trunk release by remote hence why it won't open.
