Hey everyone,
I've been a member for a bit, but I haven't ever really posted much. I've owned two Camry's. My first was a 94 LE 4-cylinder. It had 133k on it and I paid $3,300 in October '02. As a young driver in the rain, July '03, I ended up spinning out on the highway, but no one was hurt.
A week later I found another Camry, a 92 V6 LE with 114k on it for $3,100. The summer of '04 I started having cooling problems. I replaced the t-stat, water pump, radiator, and filled the coolant regularly, until one weekend my brother borrowed my car to go out of town. Long story short, I had to replace the engine. The body had about 135k when I put in a used 95k motor in it. So, now has about 177k on it, but the transmission has been slipping since early April this year. It's still driveable, though, annoying. The perks of owning an old car, huh?
I've been searching for another older car for around $9,000, but deals always fell through and now I'm thinking about putting a down payment on a new
2007 Camry and making payments over the next few years. I hope that I'm able to find a V6 LE with no extra options...because well, I want a V6. The 4-banger would be fine, though, but why not spend another couple grand for a nice V6?
Anyway, here are some pictures of my previous and current Camry (Old pictures)
94 LE
My first car, 94 LE w/ Sunroof, 6-disc changer, and tint all around
My accident, July of 2003. I basically hydroplaned on the left lane of a 3 lane highway into the middle lane in front of a semi. The semi clipped my back right rear and sent my car in a 540 degree turn. Luckily there were no passing cars in the right lane. I ended up on the side curb of the other side of the highway. The whole rear axle was jacked.
92 V6 LE
At the end of my friends driveway in the snow. I didn't put the parking brake, and it slid down to the end..lol
My stereo set-up. JVC KSH-555(or something like that) with AUX input for iPod. Pictured is my old 4G 40GB iPod. I currently have a 5G 60 GB iPod Video
I lost one of my stock hubcaps on the highway and bought these $20 Pepboy hubcaps.
Over this summer, I installed some new speakers. Pioneers in the front and Infinity References in the back
I know, it's nothing very special. I never really spent much money on my cars, seeing that they're old. Mostly stock and used to get from point A to B.
I hope to have a good experience at Toyota Nation!
