Hi, i am about to buy a New car, I like both Toyota Camry and RSX but of course i won't be buying two just for fun.
For the meaning of fun is i always like changing lane, 90degree turn without breaking too much and so and so...
I also want some luxury in the car too. I like Camry's interior but the body of the car is kinda "fat". The body of RSX is hot, BUT the interior is "OMG, sucks" give u so low class feel.
I would like to do mod too. Like putting struts, wheels, lowering but i think i will not ECU yet.
FOr other camry users, any of u put struts bar front, rear(bottom and in the trunk)?
I like Camry a little more cuz i have a camry before and it is a great car(that one didn't mod).
a question about the size of wheel: i heard that a 16" wheel is for best performance. any thing bigger will slow the car cuz of more friction. is it true?
I would have to say that the rotational mass of the wheel plays a larger role in performance than friction. Generally, as the size of the wheel increases, so does it mass (with the exception of the expensive rims such as Volk and others). When the mass is increased, the force required to set it into motion and maintain speed is increased, which decreases acceleration.
However, wider tires have a larger contact patch and therefore more friction, but the rotational mass (weight of the wheel) plays a larger role in the performance. Wider tires do grip the ground better which improves traction and handling.

Integras and RSXs shouldn't be Acura, they're not luxurious at all. I guess if it was just a Honda it would have competed with the Prelude. Perhaps the TSX is a good choice, I wouldn't mind having one, not sure of the cost though.
The size of the wheel shouldn't make the difference, it's the width. Wider gives you more handling due to friction but more drag due to friction too? 17s are pretty much the performance standard. Also, any bigger than that and you'll have to get everything realigned.

thats because they arent cheap. Running almost $28k... one wouldnt expect a cheap acura... And coming from acura, theres no options, except the navi...

sorry but thats a horrible statement. rsx comes with those racing seats + nice and metallic gauges and trims + Bose stereo. i dunno about you but i am dying to have racing seats in my camry.
but from what you said i don't think you are into modding your car anyways. or at least you aren't into modding cars the way i am.

the dash in the RSX is hideous... the part above the radio controls looks old fashioned. and the curve is jusst plain ugly IMO.

what do u mean how? are you refering to how can it be faster? the camry is slow. the tsx is probably lighter, and is also a 5spd auto, as well as 6 sp manual.....
Depends on what year camry we're talking about. Gen3s weigh about 3000 lbs. I think they're the first time Camry's had 5sfes. New Camrys weigh about 3150. Old Camrys put out 125 hp. New Camry that has same displacement but only puts out only 157 hp. Must be the tranny.
