XXX Transmissions and Engines..

... Hello everybody..

This is my question..

I own.. a 91 camry LE with a 1vz-fe engine on... and i wanted to know if all the VZ engine family and the MZ engine family can share their transmission.. (all v6 engines)

Can i use a E153 manual transmission from a 1mz-fe solara (97) on a 1vz-fe engine block??? I dont care about the electrical stuff.. i want to know if they match.. flywheel and pattern of the bolts in the bellhousing...(my camry tranny its broken and i already have the solara tranny laying on my backyard)

I know that people use the e153 tranny to match the 2gen 3sgte on fwd aplications.. and i wanted to know if the e153 tranny match the 1VZ block (old 2.5 v6 camry)..

Thanks for evrything...

.... so if i plan to do a 2gen 3sgte swap on the camry later on.. can i use either one of the tranmissions?... it doesnt matter if it comes from a 1Vz-fe or a 1Mz-fe??

the 1mz-fe its the E153.. and if it fits on the 3sgte and the 1vz-fe... i can use either one right??

It's kind of a dumb questions.. but i just want to make sure...

Thanks..

yes, the e153 fits on the 1vz/2vz/1mz

and the older trannys will also fit the 3sgte- not sure if they can hold the power though

Dude I think you have a 2VZ-FE not a 1VZ-FE. 1VZ-FE is a 2.0L V6 used on JDM Camrys...
