i ended up spending about $300 AUD (halve that for US), but that is because i got some of the metal piping welded up and messed up a few things but also things seem to be generally more expensive in Australia.

$25 for AFM adapter (HKS - cast aluminum).

$30 for a K&N filter. Got it from Summit Racing.

~ $15 for the piping.

~ $20 for the hose couplers.

~ $5 for a can of Dupli-Color high temp engine paint.

I spent about 1/2 day. About 2 hrs cutting the pipe and test fitting everything. The rest of the time was waiting for the paint to dry.
