Unhappy Electrical Problems Following Deck Install. Advice wanted!

Hello,

After recieving a new CD player for Xmas, I immidiately proceeded to install it in the Camry (1995) before we drove to the mountains for some snowboarding.

I was in a rush (got it done in 15 minutes) but unfortunately I cut the whole old hardwired bundle at once. This shorted the constant +12V BAT supply wire with chassis ground wire.

So I damaged that circuit which supplies constant power to the CD player. The dome light does not work, and the dash digital clock doesn't work as well. Furthermore, I'm getting a slight whine from behind the fuse panel.

I've checked every fuse in the fuse panel and I don't see any blown fuses. I ran a new fused line to the deck so now the CD player works wonders, but I've yet to dig into this new electrical fault.

Before I get my hands dirty, has anyone else made this careless mistake and had this problem happen? and care to shed some solution before I tear the whole interior apart?

I've definitely learned my lesson about rushing things, but now I'm focused on fixing this.

Did you check the mini fuses that are in housing that are by the battery and intake box? Theres a small 30A (green) there. It kind of sounds like a problem I had when I was messing with wiring.

Is there a reason you didn't buy an install harness?
