I was wondering if you had any info on you 1993 SE V6, 3VZ-FE. That is the same car i have, and am looking for things to do. next on the list is lowering, strut, and sewy(sp its late) bars and then exhaust. but is there any other hope for speed? you have any pics? thanks. oh yea, i forgot i want those TRD wheel!
Luc is on vacation right now. So far his 93 SE V6 is stock. He does have a badass stage III SCed 98 Camrr LE V6.
I ordered a three spoke leather steering wheel from a 2002 Camry SE for his Gen3. I should get it in the mail sometime next week. When Luc gets back from vacation we will install it. ... "Mao"

Hi, yes, I'm on vacation in Seattle for almost a week now, but I shall be returning home to Chicago in 3 days. Well, unfortunately, I haven't done much anything to the Gen3 except for clear bumper lenses, strut brace, and K&N drop-in filter. As far as suspension goes, it is still pretty sturdy as the car only had about 54,350 original miles when I bought it. But if I were to upgrade, I would probably get the H&R springs with Koni inserts.
As for speed, there doesn't seem to be too much available, though I've heard there is definitely potential for the engine. The 5VZ-FE S/C from TRD (for the trucks) would not fit because it would hit the fender walls. I have been told that an OEM 1MZ-FE intake manifold DOES fit the 3VZ-FE block. However, it's all the rest of the tubing, wiring, etc., that may not work. So it looks like it will just have to be stock. Also, another difference is that the 3VZ-FE has a distributor, whereas the 1MZ-FE has direct ignition. I'm sure you've read and heard about this, but if there is enough funds, anything can be done. In my current student status, that is impossible.
On another note, the '02 tri-spoke steering wheel is probably going to my Gen4 instead. I can't wait until I see it.

Any chance you could do something about that, like, open the fenders, make it a wide body camry, like the do the supras? I hear of people doing stuff like that all the time with Jeeps to get a V8 in them. any thoughs?
as the wise Luc has said "with enough money anythings is possible" if u want u can put a bathroom in the backseat, hehe gonna cost u an arm and a leg tho i think some research should be done in to getting the trd supercharger for the 1mz to fit the 3vz, it would definately handle alot more boost and would have more potential, yup yup cuz of the iron block;0)
hey i have looked into s/c-ing my 3vz, and it looks to me like it wouldnt be that hard to fit the 1mz s/c to it. but really im not a big fan of the roots type blower. if anything, im gonna try and find a centrifugal one. this way i can use an aftercooler (my lifes dream  )

Yeah, it is definitely an interesting and challenging "project" to tackle upon. Opening up the fender walls may be not as easy since it may soften the rigidity of the fenders themselves, thus other "stress" management may be needed. But if it's just shaving a bit off, I can't imagine having a detrimental effect. Hopefully, when I get some more time, I can do a comparison of the 1MZ-FE and 3VZ-FE manifolds, and determine whether the S/C manifold can fit on there with room to give.
