The combination works really well. The 3sgte manifold will bolt right up and the ct26 will work really well. You'll have to find out if it's oil cooled or water cooled though, and make a custom downpipe for it. http://www.qnet.com/~bgriffey check that out, it's a write up on turboing my 3sfe, I hope it helps.

All turbos have a oil feed and return. The oil lubricates the bearings in the turbo. Without oil the bearings would fail and you'd have a dead turbo.

Some turbos also have water cooling. You can hook it up if you want or just leave it alone.

If you hookup the water cooling you can splice into the radiator hoses or the 2 lines that run in front of the block to the water pump.

Make sure you get the 3 flanges with the CT-26. Theres one for oil in /out (its combined on 1 flange), 1 for water in, and 1 for water out.

these 3 flanges, are they coming off the turbo itself?

i'm thinking of running an intercooler. what is a good size? since i'm running low boost, do i have to have a smallish i/c, so as to avoid pressure drop? could a use a medium size front mount?

also, 88LE, i seem to rember you posting up pics of your turbo build up, can i ask what the site is again with the pics.

No, you'll have to make a new downpipe. Intercooler size is all up to you. Depending on where you can stuff it and how much cooling you want you'll get an intercooler of according size. I still have my air conditioning on. If you want to not use your air conditioner just get a belt for the 2nd gen camries that didn't come with air conditioning.

If you want pictures of the anything specific I can take them for you before Saturday, after that you'll have to wait a week.

nah i don't need pics yet, the guy is sending it on tuesday, and it will be a little while before i start the whole thing, but as i get into it, if i need some photos taken and you could do it that would be great. 'a picture tells a thousand words'. how much are those vortech FMU? i could use the old Apexi AFC or S-AFC couldn't i? if i had a fair sized i/c, could i run a bit more boost, or is it not the heat that is the killer of engines/gearbox but the increased power?

Meanboy, considering i can keep the a/c, for less hassles for the time being i'll just leave it in place.

Yes. They bolt onto the turbo.

How much boost are you going to run?

Good luck trying to find a place to mount a fmic on a gen 2 unless you chop up the front bumper.
