Custom Made Body Kit

ok...well here's my delema. i own a 2gen camry and i want to shape up the body a little. i don't really like the only two kits that are made for it, and i'd rather not spend 600+ on it. so does anyone have any experience in making custom kits? i figured i'd try and give it a shot. i have a few sketches done up and ideas to work with. i am doin fiberglass, so if anyone can give me pointers and what not, please do. thanks.

Well look at it this way, no normal everyday person can make a custom fiberglass bodykit from scratch. None of us have the resources to do so. Your best bet would be to get a kit and to modify it but even that will cost your 600+. Plus if you have never worked with fiberglass before, you don't know what you're getting yourself into. Fiberglass is a very dangerous material to work. Think about what you're doing before you jump in head first into a project. I've worked with fiberglass and it's gotten in my skin before and it's not pretty. You gotta pay to play in this scene, there are no cheap alternatives to something like a custom bodykit.

Whatcha talkin' about? Fiberglass is fun! Just mix like 10x the recommended amount of resin and put 5x as much hardener as you should, and watch the spontaneous combustion begin!

Mmmmm, melted concrete garage floor....

if you can do body work its not that hard, find a kit that you like find a car that has close to the same shape as your, buy the kit
you will cut it to fit.the parts that are cut use a filler for glass
(you can find so for cheep at a surf shop) fill in the cuts on the car
so that the kit will fit later take it off and sand and do anything eles you whant to do,a lot of work?yes but can be fun or settale for less and buy one of two kits, have fun, keep us up on it
