97 camry will start and die

i have a camry 97 v6 model with 100k miles.

For the first time, i am having starting problems yesterday in the parking lot.

I started the car and then after the needle on the RPM hit 1 , it slowly went all the way to 0 and died. It happened 3 times and and i tried the 4th time , i managed to get on the freeway and drive home. Again the same happened at home.

What can be the reason, the "check engine light is also NOT lighted up.

i have already replaced the EGR valve, done engine flush , transmission flushes, changed timing belt., spark plugs have never been replaced and the last time at 90k the mechanic said it was ok,
What could be the reason ? should i just check at autozone first
Thanks

Guessing fuel system problem. The link below provides access to a Gen_4 service manual with a detailed diagnostic section. Have Autozone check for codes. Also check previous posts listed at the bottom of this page.

I'm thinking you may have the good old dirty-idle air control valve problem. worth investing $4 in a can of sea foam or throttle body cleaner to try to clean it before changing any more parts, and its very easy to do.

Do the procedure for cleaning the IAC.

Have AZ pull the codes for thoroughness.
