How much can a camry take?

Ok since I got no response to my last thread with 52 views...I'll ask again lol. How much is "beating" on your car with my camry. I rev up to 4k+ each time I accelerate...and floor it quite alot. So is this going to have a lasting effect on my car? I just dont want it to break...and since theres lots of camry owners here...i figured I'd ask

It can take quite a beating but there is no way to measure the damage or how much shorter the engine's life will be. The answer is that it will still last a while but not quite as long. If you really wanna know, drive it into the ground.

Dunno what to make of this, but I've been driving pretty "briskly" lately and have gotten better gas mileage than when I drive more conservatively. Like, shifting around 5k, downshifting and rev-matching (as opposed to just coasting to stops in neutral or bogging down in 2-3k land), staying around 3-4k for city speeds. I think these motors can take quite a bit of abuse, provided you treat them right, maintenance-wise.

With an auto tranny, I think the tranny will go before the engine itself detonates. I've got an I4 auto, and lately, I've been hitting 6k RPM quite regularly (need to go faster faster...argh) and the engine is sounds quiet and smooth, but the transmission is taking longer smooth itself out on cold starts. The only thing that i'm really worried about on my engine is the head gasket because I've noticed a little white smoke coming out of the tail pipe (either a small coolant leak or it's been too damn cold lately and it's just condensation). Otherwise, I still stand by what my sig says...

From my experiences and observations, usually the transmission will crap out way before the motor does. Maintenance is the key...regular frequent oil changes and no beatings on a cold motor.

The stock Camry motor is very durable... like most Toyotas, they come with pretty beefy parts and were "built for more power" originally, mainly because we have motors that should make more power, but it was detuned and tuned conservatively.

My Camry has 175000 kms now, and I turbocharged it about 8000 kms ago...haha And I can't believe it hasn't burned a drop of oil yet at 16 lbs... amazing. Well, except for the fact that the pistons were chunking off But that was tuner's error mostly. It's not going to last forever, but if you boosted a stock honda motor with that mileage, it will go to heaven the first day you rev it
