does anyone have NOS on there cam???i have a 93' CAMRY LE with NOS and its still slow i still cant hang with my cousins GT-S celica...i ran with a 75 shot of nos with intake and exhaust and he had a TRD intake and exhaust on his celica...i hanged with him in first gear then he smoked me in 2nd gear....i can feel my cam loosing power in second gear..does anyone know what i have to do or add in the engine???....im thinking of putting in a new header but i dont know if it willl help a lot...with 75 shots of NOS i was hoping i can hang with a GT-S celica....if i hang with him 1 or half car length i would buy all of you 20 shots of TEQUILA with A WORM..how is that???...HEHEHEHEHEHE
thanks..
i have an auto trans....and thats one thing that sucks about it...and i think my bro changed the pistons..it use to be my bro's car he bought a ss camaro so he gave it to me and he told me to change the transmission to manual or get a v6 engine.....i dont wanna spend that much money on it...but i think i will get catback exhaust it's not gonna cost me that much..is it???hehe...if it doesn't help then imma drop a mr2 engine in it j/k....shooooot
well im not trying to make my camry run 10 seconds on a quartermile track..just makin it fast enough to beat or atleast hang with street civics and other rice rockets u know what i mean...thas why im keeping the NOS as my number one modification coz its the cheapest and easy way to gain horse power and im done with performance i will be working on the outside of my cam now...i agree making these kind of cars run 10 seconds are expensive.....if your goal is to make these kind of cars run that fast then ur just wasting your time but making them run high 13's is not bad at all..might as well buy a new car but if you can dream it u can do it.....hehehe
i second that motion REZZLE..just buy a new car....
well the wraith is different story...HOMEBOY GOT MONEY......if i had that much money then why not....right..i'll make my cam run 10 seconds in quartermile..hehehehehe ...thats too much...but maybe low 13's

I was talking street legal.
Race tires high octane gas are not street legal.
I was also taking about a reasonable budget note his second or third post "I don't want to spend that much money on it"
I could damn near just go out and buy an EVO or STI for the money that has been put into those other two cars.
I was also talking about 4 Cyinders. If he had a 6 cyl there would be all kinds of options open to him because mods to the larger 6 cylinder do indeed change the weight to HP balance.
I dont' think those other camrys you are referring to have 4's.
i agree with you in the sense that it is not cheap to get a camry to go truly fast and remain street legal. you have to realize that some people have spent a lot of time, effort, and money.. you gotta respect that. and a lot of us dont just have money to "blow" on a car... dont put our hard work to shame.
this topic comes up way to often. all it comes down to this...
1- if you are not cool with spending over 4 grand on your engine alone, you shouldnt be modding a camry... and dont HATE those of us who are willing
2- if you are up to the task, you could potentially own an underdog car that nobody thought was possible.. hence.. the wraith (who happens to be a 4cyl)
its not really a matter of having the money to do this, its having the motivation to get the money to do it
Ok well obviously you are not from "the camry school of thought".lol. Most of us here are here for a reason and that is to do something diff against all odds, and to prove a point. I and wraith and Tony and many others of us have spent thousands of dollars on our cars with the intent to prove people like yourselves wrong and to surprise the **** out of them. Wraiths car will run 12s and lower tonys car will run 12s my car will run 12s, and I bet you we wont sleep till they do. It will take money (lots of money) but they will do it and It will be worth to make a 18second camry into a muscle car beating machine or whatever else it may be.
Gee I'm sorry TMS-Camry all the brainiacs out there that keep calling me wrong think that it is possible for you to run what 12's? and on a limited budget and be street legal.
So Ya'll speak up. How is it done?
