MSD# 5462 and MAP for turbo
Do I need a map sensor if I use the MSD boost timing box part# 5462. It already has a vacuum line fitting and it says it needs a vacuum line hooked up. So would I still need a 2 bar MAP if I bought this and hooked it up to the vacuum line the MAP would recieve? Also If I still need a MAP sensor could I use a bosch style 2 bar MAP from MSD? It's only $40 or so from summit for the 2 bar. That is why I'm asking. Am I just too drunk and over thinking this whole thing? This turbo thing is turning into a 5 year project fast. If I spent as much money on turbo stuff as I do beer I'd have one hell of a setup.
I almost forgot. For those of you with a turbo using the SAFC II is there a major difference between SAFC I and SAFC II? I have a brand new SAFC-I I bought a few years ago for another car I built but I never got around to running it and now I have that sitting around. I would like to use the SAFC-I if I can. Any reason I coudn't use the first gen SAFC?
