Well i gues i will stop! thanks guys! i didnt think i was going any damage, but i gues i will have to stop now i was having so much fun having a good control over my pickup. it made the camry feel like it had sum power. Oh well i'll just have to get a manual now. or i could just stop doing that. OH but it was so fun! Grrrrrrr Thanks any way guys.

i just thought that it was the same as getting it to kick back. oh and is it bad to get it to kick back? when i take off from a trafic light i get a little (ever so little) shutter is that the torque convertor going on me? and when it is idel it shutters every now and then. just little drops in revs. prob about 50-150RPM drop.

just leave her in drive, with the O/D on, unless you're pulling something ont he hwy

with the ect (pwr) button, it gives you all she's got, but i admit to bump through the gears when i have to pull a tight left turn through traffic, the tranny just dosent let you go past red line..

Overdrive allows the tranny to shift into 4th gear. With overdrive off the highest gear the tranny will goto is 3rd.

Go bitchslap the person who told you that you shouldn't leave it in overdrive.

L and second gear are the same if you have the shifter there or if you just leave it in drive. The only difference when you shift is, you control when the tranny shifts. Chances are if you are flooring the car, its shifting at about the same point. And if you dont have a tack, thats a bad idea, you may be taking the car into red line.
