Dash warning/idiot light Q

My 92 Camry, has the "Rear Light Out" indicator on and the "Battery" light on at the same time.

I was able to turn off the car and re-start it too.

The manual says the battery indicates a charging system problem (since I was driving/running engine when it appeared) and I should get it checked immediately.

This is a new Energizer Battery (stop laughing) from Wal-Mart (get off the floor!) like 3-4 mo. max., so I'll go back to them to have them check the system.

I did happen to leave the CD player on for about 1.5 hr with the car not running tonight while I gabbed with some car club buddies, but that couldn't possibly drain the battery - could it ?

I also checked all the lights (front/rear/brake/interior) and found them all working. I run 194 LED's on all my running lights and licence plate, but that shouldn't do anything - should it?

Sorry, full of dumb questions tonight :p

Anyone with insight on my troubles ?

Cheers,
Ken
