I know this was meant to be a help post but may I add that this should be done by a qualified person. I just did this swap tonight since I was in under car here at UTI. It was a pain in the rear. Why do you have to mark the two shafts if you are swapping for a new one? If you put a steering wheel lock on that holds the steering still then there is only one way for it to go on. Also no matter how hard you try you will have to get an alignment after you do the swap or the removal and re-install. Again how far would you want to drive with bad alignment or tow just to do it at home? Somethings are worth paying for. If you have an alignment shop next to you or at your work then knock yourself out. Just my advice.
