For those with S-AFC's installed in their gen3's, where did you install them? I am about to install one and want do a clean install. I want to get some ideas before I start.

I dont have pics of mine in my car anymore but I had mine attached to the roof where the rearview was it looked good I liked it. But if you need to monitor yours all the time you can do what I did to my buddys. and fiberglass it into the steering column right in front of the cluster it looks awesome there takes more time but really is worth it. I can do it for you if you are willing to send me your piece.

Thanks Tony! I appreciate the offer!

Can you still tilt the wheel when you install it there? Does it get in the way? Do you mold the AFC into the cover or is the AFC still removable?

Do you have any pics of what you're talking about?

I got a price on a new steering column cover...brand new it's over $70!! I am going to call TAP recycling tomorrow to get a price from them too.

Nope...not anymore...it's being used by the turbo timer now. Good idea though.

How bout the coin tray... Ive always imagined putting mine there if I had one. I never use the damn tray and its about a DIN slot size, plus its stealth.

You mean over to the left of the steering column? I didn't think that little door was wide enough.

Oh...you mean replacing the ash tray completely? Hadn't thought of that one...I'll take a look at that when I get the AFC (any day now...)

Thanks!

OK, Tony. I just called TAP Recycling and they said it would be about $25...but they don't have any right now. I am going to keep calling them. As soon as they get one in, I'll send it to you. I am also going to hit the junk yards this weekend.

Are you sure you don't mind doing this???

Thanks,
Steve
