Yea, nice job on the intake...did you notice a diff? Just wondering if it gets too hot in that area...what made you make a non-traditional design?

Hey, your dash kinda looks like mine (with the silver bezel and indiglos)!

nice. Keep it up! Ever consider shortening the shifter? If you are, check out the wonderful RayRay DIYDS http://www.telusplanet.net/public/ra...ne/shifter.htm

Why would you shorten an auto-trans shifter

I've noticed a huge difference, but I don't really know if I've gotten any more HP out of it. It sounds GREAT compare to the stock air box (that I don't think I ever heard before), and I think that it has, at least for the moment, completely changed my driving style. I love hearing the engine revving up and shifting thru the gears, so lately I've been driving a lot more aggressivly.

I went with the design that I did just because that's the way it worked out. I was at Autozone just browsing around and at first picked up some flexible exhaust pipe, but the intake I got from Ebay was 3" and the largest size flex pipe Autozone had was like 2 1/2" and they didn't have the right part to reduce from 3" (this would have been a much cheaper route), so I decided that since I was gettin' paid this week I'd blow the money on the universal intake and see what I could do.

From one of the other threads I saw I think I should look into some sort of second filter to keep out water.

Behind the rad, but not so much in front of the exhaust. As far down as the bottom of the rad, but to the side under the plate the battery sits on. I'll take some better pics tomorrow that give better perspective of the locale.
