WOT feels weak. (seems like half open provies more power)

ok so. WOT feels like its not giving much power. half open seems to give me more acceleration.. 200k+ miles and ebay SRI. i have the MAF in the nipple of the SRI but since its ebay peice of s, the sensor fits in the hole but will fall out so i used electrical tape and taped it on. so yeah..

anyone have any ideas?
would it be the MAF not working right in the ebay sri, or fuel pump went bad ? =\

thanks for ur time.

oh and this happens on the highway or from stop

so did this problems start after you installed the special ebay SRI? sounds like a sensor isnt reading correctly.

i dont think its a fuel pump because the car would probably just stall thinking its getting fuel when its not.

^ I agree- there's probably nothing wrong with the fuel pump

as well, when you said that the maf sensor is held in with electrical tape, there is a definate possiblity of a vacuum leak which will make the sensor readings incorrect

is there any way to test to see if its leaking besides trying to feel it ? and if its leaking, would it be comming out or air going into the sri ?

thanks

extra air will be going in

to test, you can spray some throttlebody cleaner around the hole area

if the revs go up, then you have a leak

Run a bottle of fuel injector cleaner while you're at it.
