Camry fart>>>>>>

OK I'm geting really frustrated with the car. The car is making a shit noise when I give it some gas. So I went a head and put it on the lift to check for an exhuast leak, none found. So I check the manifold, no cracks, nothing. I finally check the compression too see if I have any leaks in the gasket. I get 180 p.s.i. all around. So, what do you guys think the problem is, I didn't make that noise until I started to beat on it a little about a month ago. Do you think it still might be the head gasket??
Nick, and the car has about 270k on it...

it can't be the head gasket if you're getting good compression, its probably an exhaust leak, or a crack somewhere in the intake

Perhaps you could be a 'bit' more specific when you say shit noise.

rattle? ping? thump? click? where is it coming from. left side? right side? does it make the sound in neutral only? what if the hood is up ? What if the hood is up and the brakes are on and the car is in gear? What if the hood is down and the brakes are on and the car is in gear? Have anything srviced recently? Does it make the noise when the steering wheel is turned lock to lock? What if the belts are removed?

The car makes the noise when you put it under a load, 1st gear the most. The hood is shut and no its definatly not the brakes, or the CV joints. Is thier anyway for to test the intake manifold without having the right equipment. Because thats the only thing i forgot to check...For now i opened up my filter box and taped the edge of the filter with duck tape so the intake noise mutes "that" noise.
