would you all buy a v8 camry if it were available? why or why not. would it be too much weight added? or would it just not be nimble like the v6? i was thinking like something along the lines of vw's passat w8.

exactly... the more cylinders the more internal friction.. hence the engine is less effiecient in terms of hp/L. the most efficient would be a turbo 4cyl... but id want the s/c'd v6 for reliability- and mostly TORQUE have you seen how torquey our 3vz's are in low rpms?? its mad!
the camry should have a japanese toyota chaser engine. the 1jz-gte. rwd and a manual tranny.

You could turbo or s/c this thing !easily! to 300HP and 350ft lb torque.
