bleeding brakes

Does anyone have the Motive power bleeder with the 'j' screw universal lid? I need an illustration as to putting in the 'j' screws and tightening the wing nuts into the lid. Thank you.

Yeah, I have one.

The two J hooks hook onto the bolts on the cap and actually hang upside down. You then tighten the bolts to reduce the clearance on the chain which presses the cap down onto the MC resivoir. The chain runs underneath the MC resivoir, perpindicular to it.

I did it wrong the first few times, then I read the directions and said "Oooooooohhh....."

(Update: I went for a test drive, and everything is okay with the brakes. It feels just the way it did prior to siphoning the old fluid out.)

I did the siphon method you taught me. My pedal feels firm , just not as firm as my wife's bmw x3. I drive a camry. The pedal goes further a little bit after the point of brake resistance when stopping the car.
