Your talking about the little setion of carpet? Well I took it right off but its' super hard to get it back on. Theres this spray it comes in a can and it has a werid name. It's just like glue but for fabrics. Hope you find a soultion.
check out the website www.selectproducts.com the specialize in car audio instalation products. and they carry the professional glue along with things like vinyl and tweed. you will find what you need there to redo the inserts..

the mian part cant be taken off but the iner part can.if you whant to change the main part you have to remove everything and get the fab. you want spray whith glue mold the fab. to it and let dry.
the iner part you can pull off and ceep the padding redo with fab. and glue.

the beige is what i mean by the inner part.the main door panel is the black part.to remove all you do is take the whole door panel off and you see the tabs that are folded over,just pull them back
and push on them dont force but ferm the insert should come out.
yes you have to take the doop panel all the way off to get to them.all the car i have seen are like that and my gen3 is like that.
i redid the whole door panel.
I've taken off the main door panel before to install speaker, but there doesn't seem to be any tab that can be taken off to take of the insert. I'll check it again very soon, I'll try taking picture to show you what I have.
