how hot does it get? i'm talking about that crap metal with the sign that says hands off! that rusts. thinking of painting that silver so that the rust can be covered up with g2 engine paint.

1500 deg. paint should do it....they sell it at all automotive stores

I did that and now it looks almost like gold ( originally silver ). What can I say I push my car very hard !!!
