Lowering Q's - Syd Au

Sorry to sound like a noob, I guess i can help it since I am one.

I've come to the conclusion that my car looks too tall with my 17" wheels and I'm now thinking about lowering it a bit. So I got a couple of Q's.

- If you've lowered yours - by how much?
- What sort of $$ am I looking at?
- What brand/type of springs etc. do you suggest
- Can you recommend any shop to do it

If you have any pic's of examples, I'd appreciate it muchly.

This is the most side-on pic I have of my car atm. Nothing special

Thanks, I rather look like a noob here than get screwed over when I hand over my doe.

BTW if you didnt know from the topic. I'm in Sydney Australia, I know there's a few us here.

1. I just lowered my car yesterday 1.8" with Sprint Spring. They cost me $115 shipped (off ebay)
2. Check out the Stickys on the top of the forum.

have a look in the phonebook, and see what prices things are. i'd say perhaps go with kings springs and maybe KYB shocks. this is what i was going to get (but bought a turbo instead ). the kings springs are around AUD$140 for 2, and the KYB shocks $150 each. if you have the extra money go for Koni's, but you'll be spending well over a grand for your suspension package. also consider bushings and such.

as a final note i'd steer clear of monroe or pedders (made by same company), as, although i'm not speaking form personal experience, i've heard bad things from a number of people.

p.s. go to the site below, go to the suspension forum and look at the threads form the past couple of months about what suspension people are asking to get. (also its a Aussie froum so they will talk of brands available here).

Hey !

Head over to K-MAC Suspension Rockdale ! Thats where I got me Camry lowered.

Should cost you about $380 fitted with your desired height. You can also go to Tempe Tyres they charge the same but using King.

I've heard bad things about tempe tyres.

They tried to sell my mate a set of fake BSA wheels but luckily he checked the serial numbers and markings first...

How far did you drop your car and do you have any pics around?
