Hey everybody- brand new here. Have a question that I'm sure has been asked a thousand times, but (hope I don't get clobbered for asking)--
I have a '99 camry LE- love the car HATE the suspension. Way to soft- buick-like. Sometimes I get seasick turning corners. How can I firm up the suspension? I don't want to lower the car (not into that-- I'm way too old) or put in a racing suspension- I just want it firmer- ya'know? Just a little more BMW-like. Thanks!
Welcome!
Springs and struts will solve your problem.
H&R makes a set of 'OE Sport Springs' that retain stock ride hight.
H&R springs and Tokico struts are the favored combo around here but you can get cheaper struts like KYB's.

Beyond that you can further increase handling with strut tower braces and sway bars. Larger diameter rims and lower profile tires (within stock total diameter spec) will help as well.

I heard Graval does miracles for seasickness
Seriosly though, you may consider slapping on a set of Tokico struts to firm up the ride. You can get them from http://www.shox.com/ I know you said you didn't want to lower the car but, new springs will only compliment the struts. You don't necessarily have to "slam" the car.
welcome dude. I have a 97 with tokico struts and eibach springs. Looks good. Feels stiffer too. Today, I was sitting on a bridge, not moving...my car started bobbing up and down ever so slightly. I don't know if it was the truck next to me causing vibrations or if it was the resonance of the bridge, but it was WEIRD.
Anyway, you say you get seasick in the corners? Well, not to dissuade you, but I actually get a LITTLE seasick driving long distances in my stiffer suspension...since the car moves with every little bump in the road, you feel A LOT more. I'm typically not the seasick type.
i need sway and strut bars to balance out my settings again tho.
