I was just wondering if anybody has reprogramed their stock ecu themselves, if so what is needed to do it and is it hard to do.

You can't reprogram your ECU yourself. The only cars that I'm aware that you can do that is GM.

What do you have done to your engine that you need to reprogram your ecu? If you are still N/A, you won't seem much gains from it (maybe 5-10hp)...

If you really want to go to a stand-alone, you are looking at a lot of $$$ for the computer and the tuning... If you go with a piggy-back (S-AFC, ect.), it should be much cheaper...

Tec 3 is a nice unit except the resolution isnt there... PLus their crank trigger is a joke, you dont need sooo many. I mean look at Toyota their crank trigger have only 4 four tooth and some of toyotas motors can spin to 11,000 rpm safely on them..
