Question Few questions..

I own a 2001 camry xle and i have a few questions about modding it.

1) would i need to get a bigger radiator and tranny cooler if i s/c it?

2) i've heard a lot about aftermarket shock problems concerned with squeeking and poor quality. what do you guys thing about the Tokico performance shocks?

3) i cant seem to find any sway bars or strut braces for the 2001 camry. are there any out there?

sorry if im repeating any of the questions that were alrdy asked but the other threads concerning my questions didnt get fully answered.

Re: Few questions..

1. Anything cooling-related will reduce the stress on your drivetrain. Helps, but not required.

2. The squeaking is from unlubed polyurethane anti-sway bar bushings, not from poor quality. Generally, Tokicos are regarded as high quality struts. Problems you may run into with the struts are worn front/rear strut mounts -- this may cause knocking sounds.

3. Both TRD and third-party "imitation" front tower strut bars are available -- you might have clearance issues with the TRD bar. There are no rear tower bars because the rear struts are already stiff, being attached to the chassis. (Upper rear frame)

For anti-sway bars, you can go with the TRD solara bar (rear only) or with Whiteline bars (front and rear).

Good luck, welcome, and remember to post pics when you're done. =)

I don't know of any particular brands -- someone more knowledgeable should come along and answer that for you. =)
