Just for S&G, can you name all the parts of an engine???

Im gettin ready to rebuild my engine (3sfe). Just wondering if you guys cud help me out and name ALL The parts of the engine. I know a good bit, but there are somet thing I know Im missing. Here's what I got so far...

Camshafts
valves
valve springs
head
pistons
piston rings
rods
crankshaft
main bearing

What else???

PS: I didnt take a whole lot of time to make this list, just off the top of my head

have you got one of those car manuals? if not you should get one. my one says how to completely strip and rebuild the engine, and all the parts needed. i would not consider trying a rebuild without some reference.

Yes definitely get a repair manual.

I would get the Toyota repair manual. It gives all the specs, tolerances, etc.... and it has some stuff thats not in a Haynes or Chiltons repair manual.

Can i get one from a Toyota dealer? I prefer not to get it over the net, had LOTS of previous bad experiences with that crap. ABout how much do they cost?

for a genuine toyota one, over here a couple of hundred $. i'm not sure if you still would be able to buy them new though.

Their expensive, but worth it. Your not going to find anything better then the factory service manuals.

Theres a few volumes (engine, electrical, etc...). So you can just buy the one you need.
