warranty question

what does the 3 year/30k warranty cover?

i may have messed up the fog light switch on my stalk and now it is not working.. of course i wont tell the dealership that, but would it be covered?

if not, does anyone know if it is difficult to replace the stalk myself?

you show up, tell them it broke for some reason or another and ask if the warranty will cover it. if yes, then let them at it.

ok so i went to the dealer today.. showed up and they said we will take a look at it, most likely it will be covered under warranty.. hour later, talk to the guy he says that they looked under the dash and all my wires were wrapped loosely with black tape and they think wires are crossed b/c my fogs came on with my high beams o_O.. so he said 220 for labor(2 hrs) and possibly the part AND its not covered under warranty.. im like, ohhh crap! thats a lot of money.. so i wait another hr and a half and i talk to him again... he says... good news.. we didnt find anything wrong with the wiring so we are going to order you a new switch and if that doesnt correct the problem then we have to diagnose again... soooo thankfully i didnt have to pay that labor or anything! *phew*.. they didnt have the part in stock so i gotta wait a few days probably till i get it fixed... i knew it was the switch from the beginning, i couldnt imagine it being the wiring b/c i didnt cut any wires or anything.. i thought it could have been the previous owner but what he was saying about the fogs coming on with the highs made no sense b/c it never did that before.. oh well, ill update once i get it fixed!
