Electronic supercharger questions

These electric superchargers have caught my eye in the past couple of weeks, i've read countless articles debating weither they work or not. Half claim they do and half claim they don't. I was wonder if any actually do work, and who makes them.

I also read that they will cause drag in the intake, if i get a Y splitter and put the E-supercharger on one side of the splitter and the other side my other intake filter, would that boost performance and resolve the drag problem.

Or are these things just expensive pieces of shit

There is a thread not too far down dealing with electric superchargers, and just like it, this wone will be locked when a mod finds it.

The superchargers cannot move enough air to force your engine to use any more fuel. no more fuel, no more power. The amount of energy an electric motor would require to make power will hurt your electrical system, your battery will provide most of the energy until the alternator kicks in and you loose anything you gained.

It the exact same thing as hooking your air conditioning into your intake for super cold air, colder air makes more power right? well the compressor will eat up any extra power so no.
