Cool Trying to fix sticky door lock, question

Hi,
i recently discovered that my inner door latch stopped working, so i have to roll down the window and open from outside.

i removed the door panel followed the intructions i found here, thanks to TN and everyone.
But here's my question:

I discovered that the cable was snapped into two pieces at where i circled in the first picture.
So i tried to order parts from autopartspeople.com .
1. should i order lock cable left for front door?
2. Do i need to order the plastic rod (circled in next pic) or does it come with the cable?
3. how do i connect the plastic rod onto the cable? is it just as simple as plug it in?
4. how do you get the old cable out of the lock assembly from the bottom pic? Is it hard to get access to?
5. What are the tools that i will need besides screwdrivers? Is there anything else i would need

Thanks everyone!

If this cable is like others used on Camry, the outer and inner cable plus end plastic pieces will come with it. The broken cable and end fitting are just removed and replaced. I have never done this job, but changing other cables of this type on the car was pretty straight forward with no tools required, maybe a screw driver to push things around a little.

Thanks for your reply.
So i guess i will just need to order the cable.
1. Is it normally cheaper to order online? ($9 plus shipping)
2. The cable on the broken end is fairly simple to remove i agree, but what about the other end?

Thanks once again for replying!

I would guess the other end is just as easy to take off, might have to remove a part to get at it, don't know. Not sure on pricing, call the dealers part department and compare. Toyota prices can vary and sometimes be the competitive with mail order.
