Smog!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

waz-up everyone!

I went today to go get a smog on my 93 le.
My camry is in good condition and I keep up
with the maintance. The smog place said everything pass but theres no vacuum to egr value. They said they would have fixed it but for another $60 + 60 for the smog. I was pissed off and felt their trying to just get more money. So I just left. Does anyone have advice or help me to fix this egr value problem. Thanks for any help.

if you passed then why do you have to get it fixed?

if you want to play around you could maybe take out the egr valve and clean it or get one from the junkers, but if you passed, why bother

It looks like you failed on the visual. But if its a vacuum line then its a $3 part that will take 5 mins to install. It sounds like they were trying to extort you. Without the egr functioning you probably wouldn't have passed. By saying yeah we'll fix it for $60 and charge you for the first test they're basically saying "your car passed, but we're gonna run you through the sniffer twice because we feel like it. You might as well do what we say because you're gonna have to pay for it again anyway." Assholes.

Thanks for the advice and help. My friend's friend hook it up and I don't have to pay for another smog. Take My Advice EveryOne Talk to some friends or family to see if they know someone that can hook it up. Stupid me I just didn't ask anyone. I hate all these rule to maintain a car. Prices just keep rising.
