USA Anyone need stuff done without a garage???

Who is in lower Virginia?

I am in Bedford county and have a full compliment of tools (air tools too) garage, tq wrenches...I do stereo installs (nice stealth ones/NOT into bling) 20+ years of mechanic experience.

I also have a TERRIBLE back and my hands are full of arthritis.

My kid went in the Coast Guard, so my second set of hands is now gone.

HOWEVER...

I need to swap a couple of motors and need some help with it.

If one or a couple...of you guys have something you would like to do, but are afraid to tackle it, would you trade me some of your time for my time/tools and experience?

I just missed a kid who paid a shop huge money to do his timing belt...he could have helped me for a weekend and left here with it done, gotten fed and beer'd...and gone home happy, keeping more money in his pocket than he could have possibly earned.

Please tell me there are a couple of guys on this forum with good backs who dont have a garage or tools, but would like to do some of thier own work...

Move to cali and I'm there I'd love to help you out, even just for the work. I'd like to extend the same invitation to those in my area, around Stockton CA. I don't need work done, but I could give you help for parts or a little help, I've got access to a full shop. Shoot me a PM and we'll see what we can work out.

I'm not far from you at all. I no longer have a garage, or any of my tools here, I have general mechanical knowledge and always looking for more. I have a 92 Camry V6 and a 97 Camry I4, like you I'm not big into that big bling. I like good sound, clean looks and performance, could be due to my first car. My first car is a Nissan 300ZX Turbo which has been under the knife for too long now, but is up north. I work at the Sheetz on Lakeside Dr., I'm an assistant manager so I'm almost always there.

that's a very good offer for any shadetree mechanics, and for beginners looking to learn...

hopefully you find somebody

if I was anywhere near you, I'd take you up on your offer for sure even though I have a garage and know how to do most things myself anyway....never hurts to learn more. especially when it comes to swapping engines
