The Cam is riding on springs again, this time, on Intrax since it supposedly lowers 1.6" compared to the 1.25" for my previous H&R. (How are ya liking them, Karma?)

The ride quality is obviously better than my VIS coilovers but I have a problem:

I HAVE A HUGE FENDER GAP!!!!

It's as big or even bigger than the gap compared to the H&Rs, if I recall correctly. I'm totaly stumped. :???: Maybe it will "settle" in a few weeks time. Any idea?? I know for a fact that it is properly installed.

What do you mean by "get messed"?? The collars on mine are fine. The springs on the VIS coilovers will not settle much because they are so stiff to begin with.

Jeff: You should've asked me for the # of the shop that I got my "exclusive skyblue H&R" springs from.

But hey even if you don't like the gap at least you get your comfy ride back! I still remember how harsh it was last time I sat in your cam!

Yeah Dickson, I was researching the same thing, trying to find a "Euro spec" part number for your H&R springs!

Rookie Solara: It was just too harsh for daily driving. That's all, Howard. Aren't you thinking of switching back to springs too? I thought you mentioned that last time you were here.

Rice-a-roni: Although cutting a coil to the spring seems like a quick fix, I don't see how the spring would fit the spring perch properly if we do that.

Eric: The price to order the springs from the shop is around CDN$400. I've talked to the store owner and yes the springs are directly shipped from Germany and you can't find this spring anywhere else.

He wasn't willing to give me the part # for the springs and I'm sure you understand why.

So if you are really interested to order I can help you out by shipping the springs to you.

hey SpectraBlu... what was wrong with the coilovers you had and which ones were they? my 96 is stock but im planing on lower her. the lowest spring was the 1.75 intrax but i was looking for a coilover so i adjust her rather than have her stay low on the long trips. hows the ride? i was reading on CamryMan someone cut the front springs a coil to match the ride, i think? thanks
